About CertDue
CertDue helps private landlords in England, Scotland and Wales understand which certificates and checks their property needs, what they cost, and when they're due — and reminds them before anything expires.
How we check our facts
- Legal requirements are taken from official sources: GOV.UK, legislation.gov.uk, the Health and Safety Executive, the Gas Safe Register, and the Scottish and Welsh governments. Each page links to its sources.
- Every page shows the date it was last checked. We review pages when the law changes and at least every six months.
- Prices are typical ranges from public price lists and quote platforms, not quotes.
- We use AI tools to help draft pages. They don't decide what the law says: every rule, date, penalty and figure is checked against the official source linked on the page before it goes live.
- We don't write first-hand "we tested" claims unless we actually did the test.
Corrections
If you spot an error or a rule that has changed, email hello@certdue.co.uk. We review every report within 7 days and update the page's "last checked" date only when we have re-checked it.
How we make money
The checker and reminders are free. We earn commission when you use some links on the site — for example, when you request trade quotes through our quote partner or take out certain products through partner links. This never changes the price you pay. Commission doesn't decide what our guides say about the law.
We don't give insurance advice or recommend specific insurance policies.
