General information, not advice
Everything on CertDue — articles, the certificate checker and reminders — is general information about the law in England, Scotland and Wales. It is not legal, financial or insurance advice and doesn't take account of your circumstances. Rules change and councils add their own requirements. Always check the official guidance we link to, and take professional advice where needed.
Accuracy
We check our pages against official sources and show the date each page was last checked. We can't guarantee that every page is complete or up to date.
Reminders
Reminders are a free convenience service. You remain responsible for keeping your certificates up to date. We aren't liable if an email is delayed, filtered as spam or not sent.
Prices
Prices are typical ranges gathered from public sources and quotes. Actual prices vary by area, property and provider.
Partners and affiliate links
We earn commission from some partners (see how we make money). Partners are independent businesses; any contract you make is with them. We are not an insurer or insurance broker and don't recommend specific insurance products.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss arising from use of this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
